Can we just be honest? The only reason why you want / need a website is to make money. I know, I know. You are the exception, right? You want to give everything away for free. Or maybe you’re not. Maybe you are just like thousands of others who need their website to generate some kind of revenue. So, if that sounds like you, then here’s something you need to know.

The way those dollars come in can come in a variety of forms. Products, services, donations, but at the end of the day it’s all the same. You need your website to generate cash.

So, let me ask you again. Is your website making you money?

If not, here are a few things you can do to fix that.

First of all, what is your offer and is it obvious when I first land on your site? It’s up to you to provide a way for me to take immediate action as soon as I land on your website. Put a strong value proposition right at the top of your homepage along with button that tells me where to go. The point is, make is obvious what I need to do and make it easy for me to do it.

The next thing you can do is give something away in order to grow. This is great for those that think they aren’t in this for the money but still need some green to survive.

Taking this action involves three steps. Create some really great content that solves someone’s problem. Make it really good. Then go to Sumo and setup your form. Finally, make it live.

To Recap

  1. Develop a great UVP (unique value proposition)
  2. Come up with an offer that your audience can’t refuse
  3. Create an easy-to-use sign up form (like Sumo) to engage your audience

Now you have a few things you can do to start generating more income on your website. This stuff really works. Try it out today.
